I left the Abbey Dental Surgery after it was sold and new people moved in. Dental care became worse, as so often happens. I took the advice of a good friend and signed up to the Sycamore Dental Surgery, with my first visit to see dentist Miss Joanna Hardy at Sycamore Dental Surgery last Wednesday, 16 July 25. Thanks to childhood horrors, I am always extremely nervous about the dentist and didn’t know what to expect. However, Ms Hardy was quiet, friendly, gentle and extremely professional! Due to my age, there’s not much fat left in my lower gum and it took quite a while to administer enough anaesthetic to numb it but eventually I was nicely numb and we were ready to go. With great care, Ms Hardy filled 2 of my molars with confidence and aplomb. Afterwards she said I would probably feel bruised over the following days but I felt no pain or discomfort whatsoever! I didn’t know I had been touched!!! The filled teeth, one up one down, are beautifully smooth and touch together perfectly. Overall, my visit turned from terrifying to fabulous and I have Ms Hardy and her delightful dental assistant to thank. As Arnold Swarzenegger once famously said, ‘I’ll be back!.

This week I had my first appointment at Sycamore House Dental practice. It was easy to reach (being close to the centre of Bury) and had parking right outside. My first impression was that this was a very clean and friendly dental practice. I liked the bright and spacious waiting room which made me feel relaxed before my appointment. My dentist (Dr Morillo) was excellent. He was attentive and ensured that I was comfortable throughout the procedure and explained every step as we went along which made me feel totally at ease. I highly recommend this dental practice to people looking for kind and skilled dental care and I will definitely be returning to Sycamore House Dental in the future. Update: I have returned to start Invisalign treatment, Dr Morillo answered all my questions and explained each step.  and look forward to doing the treatment. It was the first time I had a dental scan done and it a good experience.

First time at this dental practice and I felt welcomed and at ease. Dr. Shepard performed my checkup and cleaning.  She was very professional, efficient and skilled. Her recommendations for me to improve my oral hygiene was concise and she was happy to answer my questions. No frills, no lecturing, and treated me like a 40+  year old adult. 👍 I appreciated that they were able to accommodate both the dental check and cleaning back to back! I will return.

Needed an emergency complex extraction that my current dentist couldn't do. No problem for these guys. Friendly, professional, about as pain free as an extraction can be and no subsequent problems.
